I may be going against popular opinion but......
I don't believe in closing land to lawful pursuits, unless there is a really good reason. I'm not and don't pretend to be an expert on fires and fuels. It seems to me that the states fire fighting resources are stretched pretty thin at present and that might be a factor. So I understand the closing of Forest land, don't like it, but understand.
Truduct, if it not for this one sentence in your post in an OPEN DISCUSSION ROOM, I would have never replied. " Your choice of home location means nothing to me and my right to hunt public lands", I am sorry a grown man feels that way.
It kinda goes along with, if a selfish man starts a fire and people lose their homes his attitude would be, 'They should't have lived there anyway'. I'm hoping that wasn't your intent but that's how I see the post.

Well I am well known as a very selfish person. Hate helping people in need or doing anything that does not benefit me. So my comments should come as no surprise. I am a failure as a “grown man” that’s for sure.

I was 30 ft from the stage at Hard Rock Disney when they did NM156, it was unreal, between the hot chick hiding and putting my arm around her to thwart the advances a creep and the lesbian on the other side grinding on me while her girlfriend gave me the evil eye that is still my favorite concert of all time.

Not really and I can only think of 3 or 4...I know Josh has a couple of zones reserved this week...I haven't seem many deer the last couple of days...Friday, I did see a spike with 6 does...Thursday, I saw a forky along with 7 does...I think this warm weather is keeping most the bucks high

Maybe someone touched on this somewhere in this Homer’s Odyssey of a thread, but The first time I shotgun-hunted rabbit after the steel ammo law went into effect, I was really concerned about the sparks I saw flying up out of the rocky dirt. Then it hit me, the steel ammo fraud is another gateway toward banning hunting in CA. Make them use steel, which causes sparks, which start forest fires, which equals no more hunting on public land.

Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get me.

When they start saying that they must ban hunting "for the kids!" you know you are in deep doo-doo. Only a matter of time. That was what they used to finally get non-lead ammo. Some genius said they had to protect the kids of hunters from lead poisoning (when they ate game meat).

It's funny how they ban steel ammo at gun ranges due to sparks and fire danger (at least ranges near me in Santa Clarita). At least at ranges, it's mainly dirt and with most brush cleared away. But steel is okay out in the brush hunting small game, most if not all on the ground...near the fire fuel. SMH

And one of the worst things about no hunting...my wife is giving me chores since I'm home!!! aaaarrrggghhhhh

At least the shotgun lanes are open at your ranges. The shotgun lanes at the range closest to my house are closed due to staffing issues..... Hard to believe they can't find anyone to work them with all the people on unemployment!

My 1st job was a s a trap boy at Dominquez trap & skeet range.....Buck fiddy an hour.....Old friends pulled strings for me to get it...White privilege?,,,.
