WELL....another deerless season...Had some opportunities during early archery but didn`t even see a deer during the whole rifle season...As i`ve said the past 4 or 5 years ....Lets see whats happens next year...!!!!

Well i went out again this morning to old faithful D11...got there before sunrise and got settled it...around 7:30 a few does showed up and started to browse near by..after a little bit a few more does showed up behind me...At this point 2 spikes came strolling in to mingle with the does...No...

well here is another D11 archery update ..went out to a favorite spot the morning and got settled in before sunrise...at about 8ish 2 large spikes came right by me at 20yds and started browsing...then 5 or six does showed up to join them...after about 15 minutes of watching them a nice buck...

Went out this morning for the D11 archery opener to a spot up the angeles crest highway...Had one small doe come by at 7:30..then around 8am had two does come within 10 yards of me ...they didn`t even know i was there...!! I guess my scent blocker worked..!! No bucks came by during my sit so...

Just got back from hunting the last day of D11 with no luck....Didn`t even see a single buck at all this year...i think maybe i saw 4 does in total the whole season...Well as the saying goes."Its a wrap"...till next year..!!!

I went to the range yesterday and shot my bow and it shot fine....i am figuring maybe the arrow brushed a little twig or branch...its the only thing i can think of...and i have been thinking about it ALOT...LOL 1 for the buck, 0 for me...let the games continue...!!!

Hey there...I am wondering what everyones comfort zone is when it comes to letting an arrow fly at a deer..? mine is about 40 yards...recently i took a shot at a deer at 51yards, a bit out of my zone and missed....any input would be awesome.!! ;)

well today was the archery opener for D11 so i went to a spot that i have seen deer in the past...I have not been able to scout at all this season due to someone totaling my van while it was parked on a side street 7 months ago...it was a very nice morning with a slight wind to my favor...saw...

no updates on A31 until i get back from some whitetail hunting in Connecticut and Pennsy....TO THE HUNT...!!!!!

also i still have an a31 tag and i am gettin ready to hit the east coast for some whitetail action...!! To the hunt my friends..!!!!!!

Thanx for the positive words everyone...back before the station fire i was tagging out every year...had awesome honey holes and always saw lots of deer including bucks...since then its been tough but i keep pushin` on..always fun hunting no matter what the outcome...!!!

Re: D11 update alrighty..my final report for the D11 season...i went out on saturday and hunted the area where i saw the 3x3...after seeing nothing on the morning hunt i ran into another hunter and was informed that the 3x3 was taken last saturday afternoon...bummer..his brother got it and...

hopefully i have not been patterened by the 3x3..only hunted the spot twice..but ya never know..the buck didnt get big by being dumb...!!! i will be out there sat and sun and will try to mix it up a bit...hopefully i will nail him...!!!
