Last time I hunted there it was good hunting. been near ten years now.
Early 90’s. Shooting prairie dogs in Oklahoma. This guy comes out of a hole with a PD in its mouth. My uncle and cousin both take shoots with their rifles as this guy is running at about 150 yards and they both miss. I pull up and shoot.Dead run off hand 150 yards. Best pistol shot I ever made.
They’re such cool guns. My uncle in Texas has several contender frames and lots of barrels. I hunt with them sometimes. I still think the Encore with a big game barrel and the .45/.410 barrel would be a sweet rig for AK or anywhere with Ptarmigan or Grouse. Would have been nice to have in Idaho. We would have had camp meat every night.
